SpYder Stompers Shore Acres Ensemble
Our NEW recording and performing project is called the "SpYder Stompers Shore Acres Sessions."
We've been meeting in the Shore Acres neighborhood in Collinwood at Dan's studio to arrange and record live together, in one room to capture the vibrancy of our performances.
The sessions feel good and everyone sounds great. We met on some common ground roots covers, but are especially excited about the originals we've been creating, and we can't wait to get them out into the world.
The Ensemble includes:
Dan Bode, harmonica and vocals
Raymond DeForest, acoustic bass
Jack DiAlesandro, guitar and banjo
Kevin T Richards, guitars and mandolin
Kari Ann Rutushin, vocals, uke, flute and rub board
Here's a little bit more about Kari and Dan…

Kari Ann Rutushin
Growing up in North East Ohio, Kari started her journey like many musicians before her in a church pew. She is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Champion, OH. and is a professional vocalist with over a decade of sharing stages across Northeast Ohio. She entertains with her uke, piano, washboard, and flute in the styles of jazz, folk, R&B, country, and pop. She is a teaching artist with Roots of American Music. https://kariannrutushin.com/home
We love Kari. Her voice is perfect for our Paris Room. She has that sound!

Dan Bode
In Dan’s early days he performed as a harmonica duo and also solo doing shows in Youngstown in the '80s. Dan’s rockabilly-boogie band, The Rumble performed across all of northeast Ohio. He formed eclectic quartet, MoKo Bovo in 1989, pushing creative limits in song and performance, keeping focus on roots music.
Is Dan Bode really the voice of Cleveland? A lot of people would have you believe that he is. Rarely has a local musician been so singled out in local papers and through word-of-mouth as he has.

We caught one of Out Towne’s best vocalists, twice, recently…and we can’t even print what his voice does to us. Suffice it to say, when he hits a G, we ain’t talkin’ notes.
